Kids are very important to us here at Family Worship Center. We are privileged to have the opportunity to come alongside of parents in helping kids learn how to apply God's Word, on their level, to their lives through powerful praise & worship, multi-media services and events, large group, small group opportunities and incorporating time to hear from the Lord and to make and strengthen their relationship with Him and with one another.
WHO ARE THE KID’S MINISTRY LEADERS? Debbie & Larry Stevens - Children’s Pastors
Debbie & Larry accepted the call to lead Kid’s Ministries at Family Worship Center on January 1, 2004. Prior to coming to Family Worship Center, they ministered for over 16 years in kids and youth ministries. They have a heart for kids and are dedicated to coming alongside of parents and helping kids become a more functional part of the church and the Kingdom of God. They aim to help children hear from the Lord, to be led by the Holy Spirit and to be grounded in the Word of God.
Debbie & Larry are surrounded by loving and gifted people who give of their time and talents to work with the kids in each service and activity. All Kid’s Ministry workers are carefully screened with full background checks completed prior to working in this important ministry. KID’S MINISTRY F.A.Q.
WHO IS KID’S MINISTRY FOR?
• Kids from infancy through 6th grade
WHAT KID’S MINISTRIES ARE AVAILABLE DURING THE ADULT SERVICES?
•
Little Angels Nursery for infants through 3 years old. Once a child turns 3 and is fully potty trained, they move up to the Kingdom Tots Preschool Ministry. Learn more about the Little Angels Nursery here

Kingdom Tots Preschool for kids ages 3 through Kindergarten. Sunday School and Jr. Kid’s Church is available to preschoolers along with special activities and events. Learn more about the Kingdom Tots Preschool here

KICK Grade School for kids in grades 1-6. Sunday School and Kid’s Church is available to grade schoolers along with special activities and events. To learn more about KICK Grade School, click here. 5th and 6th grade kids have additional faith-building ministries such as Route 56 and KICK Krew
WHEN DO THESE MINISTRIES MEET?
•
Sundays, 8:30AM: Family Services for preschool and grade school families to worship together in the auditorium, during the school year. Stop in the Children’s Center first to pick up a kids worship bag containing a kid’s bulletin and crayons and a pencil to use during the service. Return the worship bag to the Children’s Center at the end of the service and receive a fruit snack! The nurseries are available for infants and toddlers if you wish.

Sundays, 10:00AM: Sunday School for all ages in the Children’s Center. Infants, toddlers and preschool meets on the first floor of the Children’s Center and grade school meets on the second floor during the school year. Preschool and grade school kids who are staying for the 11:00 service are escorted to their Kid’s Churches following Sunday School. Parents pick up their kids following the conclusion of the 11:00 service.

Sundays, 11:00AM: Jr. Kids Church for preschoolers on the first floor of the Children’s Center. Kid’s Church for grade school upstairs in the Kid’s Church Chapel during the school year. Parents will pick up their kids at the conclusion of the 11:00 service. The 5th & 6th grade kids may be released from Kid’s Church without a parent, following the completion of a parental permission form.

Sundays, 6:30PM: Family Services which can include a praise and prayer service, movie night, family fellowship meal, music night, concert or a Kid’s Club. Except for the Kid’s Clubs, families will all be together for these special services and activities - no nursery is provided for any of these services.

Wednesdays, 7:00PM: During the school year, Girls Club and Royal Rangers Club is offered for preschool and grade school kids. The kids enjoy their lessons and crafts and earn badges as well. Visit Girls Club or Royal Rangers
During the months of July and August, the grade school kids enjoy “A Very Veggie Wednesday” at 7:00PM. A fun activity is planned along with a short devotional and snack. Learn more here.

Kid’s Performing Arts is available for grade school kids during the school year on Wednesdays from 5:30-6:45PM. Kids must sign up before the start of the new quarter and learn a Stix Drama. The kids also have special opportunities to minister through music and drama. Learn more here.

During the summer months (July 4 - August 25, 2010), we will have 1 combined service at 10:00AM. All preschool & grade school children begin in the auditorium with their families and will be dismissed to Jr. Kid’s Church (preschool) and Kid’s Church (grade school). Preschool children must be brought to Jr. Kid’s Church by a parent or guardian.
Grade school children may go to Kid’s Church with the Kid’s Church leaders.
WHERE DO WE GO? Family Services are held in the auditorium on the main floor of the church. Kids Ministry services and activities are held in the Children’s Center. Very Veggie Wednesday's are held in the Multi-Purpose Room (2nd floor of the Children's Center).
