When:
September 24 - October 6, 2010
About the Trip:
We are planning on taking 22 medical as well as some non-medical support people to Gulu, Uganda and will be ministering at a Watoto village whose population are mostly child soldiers and the surrounding community. A Medical Clinic offering FREE Medical, Dental, and Optical care will be setup and manned by our staff. We are anticipating 1,000 - 1,500 people to come to the clinic.
Our efforts are not just humanitarian but our goal is that every person who comes to the clinic will hear the message of salvation at least once before they leave.
HealthCare Ministries will be helping by providing resources and onsite training of our team.
What is Needed:
People
• A few higher level Practitioners
• A Doctor or PA, NP
• A Dentist
• An Optical Specialist
Supplies
• Over the counter medical supplies (generic brands, stored in a sealed container, with exp date beyond Oct.6, 2011)
• Vitamins (child, infant and adult)
• 1st aid supplies of all kinds
• Toothbrushes
• Small tubes of toothpaste
• Note: Because of the amount of medical supplies needed, we will not be taking any food or clothing.
Financial Support
• 100% of money donated goes to medical supplies
*Make checks payable to Family Worship Center and write Uganda in the memo section
• Every team member is responsible to raise their own. Donated money will not be used to defer any travel costs.
